Ukraine peace plan; Zelensky arrives in US to meet with Trump

According to reports, Zelenskyy will meet with Trump in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, that same afternoon.


The two leaders are scheduled to discuss a 20-point peace plan to end the Russia-Ukraine war.


Zelenskyy hopes this meeting will give him the opportunity to receive security guarantees from the United States and reach agreement on the peace plan.


Previously, Zelenskyy had stated that negotiators from the United States and Ukraine had reached agreement on the peace plan; however, some issues, such as territorial matters, must be discussed at the leaders' level.

International media have reported that Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, arrived in the United States today, Sunday, December 28, to meet with Donald Trump.
