Taliban condemns Israel's recognition of Somaliland

This ministry, on (Sunday, the 7th of Jadi), stated in a declaration that this action was an attempt to "disintegrate an Islamic country," lacks any legal legitimacy, and could have negative consequences for peace and stability in the region.


Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, had previously announced that his country had officially recognized the "Republic of Somaliland" as an independent and sovereign state, and in this regard, signed a joint statement with Abdurahman Mohamed Abdullahi, the President of Somaliland.


The Taliban further emphasized that Somaliland is an inseparable part of the Federal Republic of Somalia, and any action aimed at undermining the sovereignty and territorial integrity of this country constitutes a clear violation of international law.


At the same time, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the foreign ministers of 21 Arab and Islamic countries also issued a joint statement condemning Israel's action, expressing firm opposition and considering it a threat to regional and international peace and security.

The Taliban Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Sunday, issued a statement strongly condemning Israel's action in recognizing Somaliland as an independent country, deeming it contrary to international principles and laws.
