Fox News: US to send about 10,000 more troops to Middle East

According to Liz Fryden, a Fox News correspondent, the deployed military vessels are expected to arrive in the region by the end of November, equivalent to December 9.


With the arrival of the USS Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier, the number of U.S. aircraft carriers in the Middle East will reach three. This carrier will operate alongside the USS George H.W. Bush and USS George Washington.


This report comes as Fox News states that Donald Trump, President of the United States, is considering the possibility of increased attacks against Iran following the congressional midterm elections.


The USS Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier departed Japan on Monday, October 18. At the same time, the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, along with the Makin Island amphibious ready group, set out from San Diego port for the region to carry out its mission.



Fox News has reported, citing two U.S. officials, that the United States will deploy approximately 10,000 additional troops to the Middle East with the dispatch of the aircraft carrier strike group USS Theodore Roosevelt and the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
