Sources: Taliban shoot mentally ill young man in Panjshir

Speaking to sources on Saturday, the 16th of Aqrab, they said the young man’s name was Moshtari and that he lived in the “Manjanesto” area of Darah-e Abdullah Khil.


According to Moshtari’s relatives, he suffered from mental health problems and took medication to treat his illness. They say the young man was shot dead by the Taliban while sitting on a mountain.


Local sources also added that Moshtari had previously been detained by the Taliban in connection with a bombing that occurred some time ago.


About a week after the young man disappeared, his body was found on Saturday in the Zarsang area.



Local sources in Panjshir province say the body of a 27-year-old man who disappeared about a week ago has been found in the Zarsang area of Darah-e Abdullah Khil. According to these sources, the young man was shot dead by the Taliban.
