Iranian President: We are engaged in a full-scale war with America, Europe and Israel

According to him, the current conditions, in terms of complexity and difficulty, have even surpassed the era of the eight-year Iran-Iraq War.


Pezeshkian, on (Saturday, 6 Dey), in an interview with a domestic media outlet, explained that in the war with Iraq, the nature of the conflict was clear and the opposing side acted in a defined manner; but in the current situation, the types of threats are diverse and multi-layered, placing various sectors of the country under pressure.


He emphasized that America, Europe, and Israel, by imposing restrictions and extensive pressures, have placed the Islamic Republic in a tight spot in terms of livelihood, cultural, political, and security aspects. The President of Iran also identified the increase in the level of social expectations as one of the major challenges that, alongside these external pressures, has made managing the country more difficult.


Prior to this, Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Republic, had stated in a message that the main factor behind the dissatisfaction and anger of Western countries toward Iran is not the nuclear issue, but rather the Islamic Republic's approach in presenting a "national and international Islamic order."


Pezeshkian, continuing this interview, referred to some domestic crises, including fuel shortages, and said that Iran is facing a shortfall of about 30,000 megawatts in the energy sector. According to him, the government is pursuing policies of control and reduction in consumption and costs to manage this situation.


The President of Iran also, referring to the country's foreign policy, announced improvements in relations with neighbors, including Afghanistan, and added that, despite problems and pressures, the level of international interactions of the Islamic Republic is increasing.

Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, referring to a range of economic, political, security, military, and media pressures against the Islamic Republic, announced that Iran is engaged in a kind of comprehensive confrontation with the United States, European countries, and Israel.
