Freedom Front: We repelled Taliban attack in Zibak, Badakhshan

According to a statement from the Freedom Front, the clash between the two sides lasted nearly one hour, during which light and heavy weapons were used. The front states that its forces stood firm against the Taliban attack and inflicted casualties on the assailants.


However, the Freedom Front has not disclosed the exact number of casualties inflicted on Taliban forces. This anti-Taliban group has also stated that its forces used advanced light and heavy weapons during the clash, and none of the Freedom Front's forces were harmed in this incident.


The Taliban has not yet issued an official position regarding the occurrence of this clash or the Freedom Front's claim of inflicting casualties on their forces. Previously, a number of residents of Zibak had also reported clashes between Freedom Front forces and the Taliban in this district.


One resident of the "Sang-e Lich" area, located near the site of the clash, said that the battle in this region was intense and that the movement of Taliban forces in the area was observed.



The Freedom Front of Afghanistan has announced that the forces of this front, on Monday, in Zibak District of Badakhshan, resisted a large-scale attack by the Taliban and foreign allies of this group, and repelled the assault.
