US Congressman: We are following the transfer of Afghan colleagues

Moulton said in an interview with CBS News on Sunday that the Trump administration has effectively halted the resettlement process for Afghan collaborators. He also claimed that this administration "does not want anyone but white people to enter the United States" and criticized Washington's current policies toward Afghan immigration.

This member of the U.S. House of Representatives said that the first action he and his colleagues will take is to continue collaborating with American veterans across the country to transfer Afghans to safe places. He emphasized that Washington must support its Afghan collaborators who fought alongside U.S. forces against the Taliban and risked their lives for America and their own country.

Moulton also said that he will work to secure a Democratic majority in the House of Representatives and the Senate in order to change U.S. immigration policies through a shift in the political balance.

The U.S. State Department announced in early Dhu al-Hijjah 1446 that the issuance of immigrant visas for citizens of 75 countries, including Afghanistan, would be suspended. Additionally, another executive order from Donald Trump, which took effect in January of the same year, suspended the entry of citizens from several countries, including Afghan citizens, into the United States. Nevertheless, in the latest development, a U.S. federal judge has overturned the Trump administration's order to suspend the issuance of immigrant visas for citizens of 75 countries, including Afghanistan.

Seth Moulton, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, has stated that he will work alongside a number of veterans from this country to relocate former colleagues of the U.S. government in Afghanistan to safe locations. He has strongly criticized the suspension of the Afghan refugee resettlement program and described the immigration policies of the Donald Trump administration as "racist."
