Deadly shooting at Canadian school leaves at least 10 dead, 25 injured

Officials have confirmed that the suspect behind the attack is also among the deceased.


Police have announced that the identity of the shooter has been established; however, due to privacy considerations, no further details on this matter have been released.


It remains unclear how many of the victims in this incident were children.


According to security officials, the situation at the scene of the incident is now under control, and there is currently no threat to residents in the area.


British Columbia police have added that initial evidence indicates the attacker killed 9 people before taking his own life, and his body was found inside the school.


This incident marks the second deadly attack on an educational institution in Canadian history. Prior to this, in 1989, an attack on the École Polytechnique de Montréal claimed 14 lives.


In response to this tragedy, Mark Carney, the Prime Minister of Canada, has suspended his scheduled trip to Germany to attend the Munich Security Conference.

Following a shooting at a school in the Canadian province of British Columbia, at least 10 people have been killed and 25 others wounded.
