National Resistance Front: We killed two Taliban fighters in Herat

According to the Front, this attack took place on the night of Friday, May 26, in the area of the Herat–Kandahar ring road junction, in the jurisdiction of the Pashtun Zarghun District of this province, against Taliban forces.


The press release states that Taliban forces were patrolling in Pashtun Zarghun District when they came under attack. Additionally, two of their weapons fell into the hands of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan forces.


According to the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, two Taliban fighters were killed in this attack. The deceased individuals were affiliated with the "Mobile Patrol of the Discovery Battalion of the First Brigade, Farooq Army of the Taliban."


The press release states that no harm came to civilians or National Resistance Front of Afghanistan forces in this attack.


The Taliban have not yet commented on this matter.

The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan announced in a press release that it had targeted Taliban fighters in an organized operation in Herat Province.
